Island tours (phi phi and Phang Nga Bay) with 1yr old baby

Hi, 

I read from various posts that group island tours would be difficult with a 1 yr old as the kid can get restless and the ride is choppy.

Are there any alternatives? Is there a private boat that we can get from Phuket for both the tours so we could do the tour at our own pace and also have enough space for ourselves. 

I really do not want to miss the two island tours if I am going all the way to Phuket.
