Where to stay and what to do in Phuket?

Hi everyone! 

This is my first reddit post ever, but I love how helpful the reddit community is. I always use it for travelling tips. 

For my parents’ 30th anniversary, our parents + my brother and I are travelling to Phuket. 
Do you guys have any recommendations of things to do and nice areas to visit/stay? 
- We like sports activities like surf class or snorkeling/scuba diving
- We love good food and night markets  
- We can all drive scooters so distance is not a problem 

I looked up some hotels and resorts and narrowed it down to Hyatt Regency & Four point by Sheraton. Can you recommend any of these?
