Phuket Tourism

Hi there, I am going to Phuket for 4 days during May. I am staying in Old Phuket Town. What are recommended beaches to have a look at on the western side of the island. I understand Patong beach is a bit too busy. Anyone recommend Kata or Karon beach or beaches further south? I prefer places that are a bit less hectic. If anyone has any experience please let me know. Any other things recommended to do in Phuket (mind you, I have already booked 2 full day tours for the Phi Phi Islands and also a separate one for the Phang Nga Bay)? Thanks!
