Furthermore, the current job market for emergency medicine specialists in Saudi Arabia weighs heavily on his decision.  Many recent graduates struggle to secure desirable positions as fellows or consultants, and opportunities for fellowships abroad seem limited. This highlights a growing trend among young Saudi doctors: balancing personal career aspirations with the realities of the domestic healthcare job market.  The decision is further complicated by the lack of teaching assistant positions (معيد بالجامعة), ruling out that career path.  This dilemma reflects a broader conversation in the region about career prospects for young medical professionals and the need for better transparency regarding scholarship details and post-residency employment opportunities.
