How would you describe each major island in Thailand in one short sentence?

I’m curious to hear your subjective perspective on the different islands for a long stay with dogs. What are their benefits, challenges, vibe, and any other aspects you think are worth mentioning?

I’ve visited over 20 countries, including Thailand, though I’ve only been to Pattaya.

I’m a 36-year-old woman from Russia, and my husband, a 46-year-old American. We will be traveling with our two dogs. 😊 

Looking back, I think my opinion of Costa Rica—where we lived for some time—would have been more positive if we’d chosen a different location. At the time, we were so exhausted from traveling by car (we even adopted our first dog along the way) that we just settled in the first reasonably comfortable place we could find.
