Bali Zoo Ethical Concerns: Is it Worth the Visit?

Planning a trip to Bali next week and considering a visit to the Bali Zoo with my mum?  Before I go, I want to ensure it aligns with my values.  Many tourists are now prioritizing ethical and sustainable travel, and animal welfare is a major concern.  So, the big questions are: are the enclosures at Bali Zoo appropriately sized for the animals? Are the animals rescued or wild-caught?  I'm determined to avoid supporting any zoo that doesn't prioritize animal well-being.  Choosing ethical tourism is more important than ever, and responsible travel helps protect endangered species and their habitats.  There's a growing movement towards wildlife sanctuaries and conservation efforts as more people become aware of the impact of traditional zoos.
