Bali Solo Trip: Is My Phone Safe on a Tripod?

Excited for my first solo trip to Bali tomorrow!  I'm a seasoned solo traveler, often using a tripod and remote to capture stunning photos.  This method works great in places like Japan and South Korea, but Bali feels a bit different.  My question is: how safe is it to use a tripod with my phone in Bali?  I'm worried about potential theft.  Has anyone else experienced this?  What precautions should I take to keep my phone safe while capturing those amazing Balinese landscapes?
