My Bali trip in June took a surprising turn last month. I received an ATM withdrawal notification from the Padma Resort Legian – a transaction I never made! The two ATMs I used during my stay were a Mandiri ATM in Jungutbatu, Lembongan, and a BNI ATM at the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel. I've since discovered online that several others have reported similar fraudulent activity at the Lembongan ATM, with some Google reviews echoing my experience. Thankfully, my card was blocked, preventing further losses. This highlights a growing concern about ATM skimming in popular tourist destinations. It's a crucial reminder to always check your bank statements after traveling, and to be vigilant when using ATMs, especially in less secure locations. Always shield your PIN and consider using ATMs located inside banks or well-lit, populated areas. While I'm fortunate this incident ended well, sharing my story serves as a warning to other travelers. Let's spread awareness and protect ourselves from these increasingly sophisticated ATM scams. #baliscam #atmfraud #traveltips #travelsafety #balitrip #indonesia #atmsecurity
