Kuntilanak (Urban Legend)

The Kuntilanak (Indonesian name), also called Pontianak (Malay name), is a vengeful spirit in Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore. It is similar to Langsuir in other Southeast Asia regions. The Kuntilanak usually takes the form of a pregnant woman who died during childbirth. Alternatively, it is often described as an angry female spirit. Another form of the Kuntilanak refers to the ghost or white lady of Southeast Asian folklore.

The Kuntilanak is often depicted as a long-haired woman dressed in white. She lures in unsuspecting men to incite fear and enact revenge. Signs that a Kuntilanak is nearby include the sound of an infant crying and the smell of a decaying corpse or the plumeria flower.

I have experiences with Kuntilanak. When I was 15 years old, my friend came to my home, he back to his house around 11pm, and I did a joke, I told to my friend : "you will hear Kuntilanak's laugh" and suddenly I heard laughter near me then I was I smell jasmine.

Another, suddenly I woke up at 3Am, I heard chick voice and also sound like someone sweeping the yard.

Another one, I went to one of beach at Banten, I stayed in one of the guest house. I stayed alone. And I was the only guest there. when I looked towards the water tower, I saw a kuntilanak sat at water tower.

Tips from me if Kuntilanak shows at you :
1. Don't be panic, if you panic, you can't do anything
2. Pray
3. Mad at her! fight her! If you get angry and say harsh words, he will go away and will never come back to scare you again.
