Indonesia Visa Help

Hi Everyone, I'm traveling to Turkey from Thailand and I have a self-transfer layover in Jakarta on my way to and back from Turkey, I understand that since I'll need to leave the transit area I'll require a visa, but I'm wondering whether this visa will stay valid for my journey back when I need to do another self transfer, or will I need to get another visa on my way back? I'm eligible for a VOA since I'm an Australian citizen btw.
