Bangkok Dating on a Budget: Muay Thai, Romance, and the Sukhumvit Struggle

My Bangkok adventure is a fascinating mix of Muay Thai training and the ups and downs of dating in this vibrant city.  I've settled into a budget-friendly area 20 minutes north of central Bangkok, perfect for my intense training regime.  Living frugally allows me to focus on my fighting weight meal plan, surviving comfortably on just 1000 baht a week.  The downside?  Almost nobody speaks English in my neighborhood, and my Thai language skills aren't quite at the social level yet.  Dating has presented a unique challenge. Even inviting someone to my area has proven tricky;  one date deemed my choice of a local, affordable restaurant 'low effort'.  It's a clash of cultures and expectations – I'm all about the authentic Thai experience, but finding a balance between my frugal lifestyle and the dating scene is proving difficult.
