Bali Birthday Trip Dilemma: Solo Adventure or Travel Group?

Planning a dream Bali trip for my birthday has been a rollercoaster!  For two years, I've envisioned a trip to this stunning island, but convincing friends has been tougher than expected.  Budget constraints and scheduling conflicts have left me with a best friend whose birthday is just ten days before mine, forcing a compromise on our travel dates.  Flight prices have skyrocketed by 10,000 INR since I started planning, adding to the stress.  She's still hesitant, promising an answer only after receiving her salary at the end of the month.  

Now, I'm facing a tough choice: a potentially unreliable trip with my friend, a pricey guided tour (around $1900 excluding flights, visa, meals, and activities!), or a solo adventure.  The thought of solo travel excites and terrifies me.  I love alone time – going to movies solo is normal for me – but I'm worried about feeling lonely or anxious in a new country, especially since I struggle with venturing out alone even in my own city where everyone knows me. I'm also concerned about taking those perfect sunset photos, which is something I've been looking forward to.
