I'm deeply disturbed by the hateful and harmful comments I encountered on a platform's recommendation system.  The unchecked negativity and toxicity are not only upsetting but also concerning for the well-being of users.  This isn't just about a few bad apples; it points to a systemic issue of inadequate moderation and a lack of accountability for perpetrators of online harassment.  We, as a community, need to demand better from these platforms.  They have a responsibility to create safer spaces, and that means actively combating hate speech and implementing stricter policies to prevent this kind of behavior.  Silence is complicity.
