Rejected from Aramco's CPP Program: My Journey & Future Plans

Alhamdulillah, despite two months of preparation and a math exam with only four mistakes, my application to Aramco's prestigious CPP program was unfortunately rejected.  This felt like a major setback, especially since I already had early acceptance to KFUPM.  My initial hope was solely pinned on Aramco, fearing that a KFUPM degree might not lead to the ideal petroleum engineering job I desire. The rejection left me feeling disheartened and questioning my future prospects.  However,  the current job market for petroleum engineers is experiencing significant shifts with a growing focus on renewable energy and sustainability.  Many companies are now prioritizing candidates with diverse skill sets and experience in these emerging fields.  This unexpected rejection has pushed me to explore additional opportunities and develop a more comprehensive career strategy, including upskilling in areas like renewable energy technologies and data analytics, which are highly sought after in the evolving energy sector. I'm now focusing on leveraging my KFUPM acceptance to build a strong foundation and actively seeking internships and networking opportunities to boost my chances of securing a fulfilling career in the energy industry. The experience, while initially discouraging, has ultimately strengthened my resolve and broadened my perspective on career paths within the energy sector.
