I was talking to my colleague Ravi who went with his family and he said the experience was beyond words. Crores of people, all bathing in the holy river together, everyone chanting, the smell of agarbatti and marigold flowers everywhere - it is a full sensory experience. He said even though the crowd was huge, there was a strange sense of peace and oneness. That is the magic of India, no? Such a massive country but in moments like Kumbh Mela we all feel connected.
