Jakarta Shopping Spree: Mom & Me Adventure!

Planning a whirlwind Jakarta shopping trip with Mom in two weeks and need your expert advice!  It's our first time, and the sheer number of hotels is overwhelming. We're looking for a conveniently located hotel (under $100/night!), ideally within a 10-minute walk of major malls – think SCBD, Thamrin, or Central Park areas.  Holiday Inn is on our radar, but open to suggestions! 

We're all about shopping and cafe hopping – Blok M, PIK, the new Premium Outlets are calling our names!  Tourist traps aren't really our thing.  Any hidden gems or must-visit cafes you'd recommend?
