Okay so I finally hit up Bangla Road last night and WOW! ๐คฏ
Been living in Phuket for a few months but kept putting it off. My expat friends kept saying "you HAVE to go at least once" - they weren't kidding!
Walked down around 9pm and the whole street was absolutely buzzing. Neon lights everywhere, music blasting from every direction, crowds of people just soaking in the energy. It's like Vegas met Bangkok and had a wild party baby! ๐
Hit a few bars along the main strip - drinks were pricier than I expected (should've asked first, rookie mistake). But honestly, the atmosphere made up for it. Everyone's just there to have a good time - tourists, expats, locals, all mixing together.
Around midnight, my friend pulled me into Soi Crocodile (one of the side streets). WAY chiller vibe, better prices, and easier to actually have conversations. Ended up making friends with some Aussie expats who gave us the insider scoop on where to go next time.
Left around 2am completely exhausted but grinning like an idiot. Not something I'd do every weekend, but definitely worth experiencing!
If you're in Phuket and haven't been - just go. Bring cash, keep your wits about you, and enjoy the chaos!
Who's been? Any hidden gems I missed?
