Field Procurement Officer

Job Description:

The Field Procurement Officer is responsible for managing all on-ground procurement
activities, ensuring the timely delivery and setting up of goods and services to support
projects and events. This role bridges the gap between procurement planning and on-
site execution, ensuring compliance with specifications, addressing operational needs,
and maintaining vendor relationships during project implementation.
Responsibilities:
 Coordinate on-site delivery and distribution of goods, materials, and services,
ensuring they meet specifications and deadlines.
 Communicate with vendors to resolve issues, address delays, and ensure
compliance with agreements.
 Supervise the setup and availability of required services, such as cleaning staff,
maintenance crews, and equipment.
 Verify deliveries against purchase orders to confirm quality and quantity
standards.
 Track on-site procurement expenses, ensuring alignment with project budgets
and reporting any discrepancies.
 Maintain records of on-site procurement activities, including deliveries and
communications.
 Develop and implement contingency planning for supply chain disruptions or
urgent needs.
 Collaborate with project managers to ensure procurement tasks align with project
timelines.
 Support inventory management during and after the project, ensuring excess
materials are returned or reused.
 Provide updates to the Procurement Officer or Manager on progress and
challenges.

Qualifications:

 Preferably a Sudanese citizen with a transferable Iqama.
 2-4 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or project coordination,
preferably in events or exhibitions.
 Strong communication and organizational skills.
 Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
 Familiarity with procurement or inventory software is a plus.
 Flexibility to travel and work on-site as needed.
 Native Arabic speaker with conversational English skills.
