The most recent involved a divorcee with teenage children (14-15), whose ex-husband remained actively involved.  Her previous relationship ended due to perceived lack of masculinity from her ex-husband, a fact she openly shared.  This, combined with her extensive tattooing, numerous male friendships, and a history of failed relationships, created a dynamic I found difficult to navigate.  The core issue, as I see it, is a potential disconnect in understanding the sacrifices and challenges a childless man faces when entering such a relationship.  There's often a perceived sense of entitlement, a lack of awareness regarding the significant adjustments required.  This isn't to generalize, but it reflects my personal experience.  The question then becomes: are these dynamics universal, or are cultural differences at play?  How are single mothers viewed in Thailand, for example? Do Western men frequently marry single mothers there?  Understanding these cultural nuances and the broader perspectives on this complex topic is crucial for anyone considering such a relationship.
