best cheap/easy nye plan for 30yo and mom?

Hey my apologies in advance for another last minute "help me figure out my plans for New Years" post but please help me figure out my plan for New Years? I'm traveling with my 60ish mom and we're staying near the phrom phong station. mostly we would love to just see some fireworks. is there anywhere close-ish by we could see some?
