so last weekend went to Onyx again and damn... still one of the sickest clubs in bkk 🔥
for anyone new here or haven't been - this place is HUGE. like you know how most clubs here feel cramped? not onyx. the dancefloor is massive, got loads of standing tables around if u need to chill, and the ceiling is crazy high (kinda feels like clubs in europe tbh)
oh and fun fact - onyx was first thai club to get on DJ Mag's best clubs list. pretty cool right?
entry is like 400-500 baht for us foreigners (yeah they charge different for thais lol typical) but comes with drink vouchers so not too bad
**why i keep going back:**
- the LED screen behind DJ booth is insane. production quality on point
- they actually get good international DJs
- crowd is mixed, good vibes, everyone just there to have fun
- aircon works!! (if u been to other clubs u know this matters lol)
**downsides tho:**
- drinks expensive af once ur vouchers done
- weekends = packed like sardines
- queues at the bar take forever when busy
- bit far from bts (need grab)
went around 1am saturday, place was already going off. music was good (house/edm mostly), stayed till like 3.
if ur into proper clubbing and don't mind spending a bit, def worth checking out. just maybe don't go if ur on super tight budget haha
it's in RCA area btw (royal city avenue). grab from sukhumvit area was like 120 baht for me
anyone else been recently? they had that dutch dj last month, was SO good
ps - watch ur drinks and stuff, it gets crowded so just be smart yeah
